Student Teacher at Fishers High School - Fishers, IN
• Rehearsed and directed 380 students at the high school in four concert ensembles, three jazz bands, and a piano class in conjunction with my
cooperating teacher
• Rehearsed 6th grade beginning band at Sand Creek Intermediate School
• Assisted in the recruiting efforts for the following school year on both the middle and elementary levels by visiting feeder schools, attending
parent nights, and speaking with students to discuss the program
• Directed after-school activities such as Solo and Ensemble, band sectionals, and pep band
• Selected music, scheduled concerts, planned rehearsals, and organized the music library

- Here is a video of me teaching the advanced freshman ensemble. The students focused on quality, fundamental tone at the beginning of rehearsal. The lesson then progressed to rehearsing "Fate of the Gods" by Steven Reineke.

Handbell Director (September 2016 - May 2018)
First United Methodist Church - Bloomington, IN
• Recruited, rehearsed, and directed the church handbell choir while rehearsing once a week and performing once a month for church service
• Fulfilled the duties of selecting appropriate music for varying levels of musical skill, organizing and coordinating the rehearsal and
performance schedule, maintaining the music library, and overseeing the care and upkeep of the bells, equipment, robes, and supplies
• Collaborated with members of the church in order meet the requirements and expectations of performing music that matched specific sermon
themes throughout the year

Student Director - Bloomington, IN
• Collaborated with Indiana University student colleagues and rehearse beginning band
students ages 12-14 every Saturday for three hours
• Selected music, rehearsed beginning band students, and served as conductor on the final concert
• Rehearsed daily fundamentals such as basic fingerings, rhythmic patterns, tone, and intonation
